Many of us who work in the realm of search engine optimization or Internet marketing are always searching for ways to build quality relevant links to our websites or the sites of our clients. Quality links can do wonders for helping with your search engine results placement and the targeted traffic brought to your site.

There are a lot of methods out there to pick up links, but here are three easy ways to build links to your website to help to boost your SEO.

  1. Do a search for your main keywords. Then visit some of the best competitors and check their backlinks using Yahoo Site Explorer. This tool will provide a list of websites that are linking to whichever site you want to look up. Visit the sites that are linking to your competitor and see if you will be able to request or build a link from their too.
  2. Use the powerful tool Comment Kahuna to build links to your site. This free tool can help you to build tons of backlinks to your site. This free tool allows you to search across the Web for blogs from a variety of platforms to build links from. What is really special about this tool is that you are able to filter out blogs with the no-follow attribute too.
  3. Use the Free Traffic System. This is a system that networks thousands of blogs to exchange blog posts with anchor text links in the body. It is easy and free to sign up. From there you write an article in your niche. Prepare it to spin using their custom software. Tell it where you want your links in the article, and then you can publish up to 30 unique versions of your article across the blog network. If the idea of spinning an article up to 30 times seems daunting, don’t worry, they have an easy to understand video and the spinning process shouldn’t take you longer than 30 minutes.

  • Jeff, I remember back to December 2004 when I started blogging. I had never heard about building backlinks nor did I know much about SEO 5 years ago. It is really topicable to know that building links and backlinks can be so important to our online writings. Hadn’t heard of Comment Kahuna I don’t think, thanks for this tip.

  • I’ve shied away from blog comments for backlinks only because it takes so much time to find relevant sites but I’m dying to try Comment Kahuna. Sounds like an effective tool and a huge time saver – my favorite combination. Thanks for the tips!
